Lysine Supplementation of Turkey Grower Diets
نویسندگان
چکیده
Commercial Australian White turkey poults, kept in small pens, were fed commercial diets until 8 weeks. Poults were then fed either 20 per cent dietary protein, with or without added lysine, or 24 per cent dietary protein, each with a metabolizable energy content of either 11.5 or 12.75 MJ/kg. The poults fed on the 24 per cent protein diet were heavier than those on the 20 per cent protein diets. Addition of lysine had no significant effect on liveweight, and tended to depress growth of birds fed the higher energy diets. Feed conversion ratio was not significantly affected by treatment.

Digestible lysine requirement of starter and grower pigs.
Three experiments were conducted to determine the digestible lysine requirement of starter (6 kg BW initially) and of grower (21 kg BW initially) pigs. Experiment 1 used 294 starter pigs and lasted 28 d; Exp. 2 used 182 grower pigs and lasted 35 d. Protein and total lysine contents of the basal corn-peanut meal diets were 20 and .8% for Exp. 1 and 16 and .54% for Exp. 2. Basal diets were fortif...

Supplementation of a basal corn-soybean meal diet with 0 or .2% L-lysine and 0, .25 or .55 ppm biotin produced six dietary treatments in a factorial arrangement. Pig performance, post-weaning scour scores, plasma urea N (PUN) levels, N and energy balance and liver pyruvate carboxylase activity (PC) were response criteria. Crossbred pigs were fed from weaning at 4 wk of age (8.0 kg) to market we...
متن کاملThe Optimal Dietary Threonine to Lysine Ratio for Growing Pigs
The growth of 64 pigs was monitored over grower and finisher periods of 26-58 and 58-96 kg respectively, to see if the optimum dietary ratio of threonine to lysine (T/L) under ad Zibitum feeding was higher than the generally accepted ratio of 0.6. Five basal (Bl-B5) diets were used to establish the pig’s response to lysine (in the range 6.0 to 11.24 and 5.59 to 10.5 g kg-1 for grower and finish...

This study was conducted to evaluate the carcass yield, abdominal fat deposition and chemical compositions of thigh and breast muscles of male Arian broilers fed three different lysine levels of 1) high lysine (110% NRC), 2) standard level suggested by National Research Council (NRC) and 3) low lysine (90% NRC) based on two expression ways of amino acid contents of feedstuffs, as total amino ac...

An experiment was conducted with the male Ross broiler chicks from 1 to 42 days of age to test the effects of different dietary protein and lysine levels on performance, carcass characteristics, and N excretion. Treatment diets consisted of three levels of supplemental lysine in starter and grower period (0, 0.15, and 0.30 %) and the two levels of protein (20.84, 17.84 in starter, and 18.12, 16...
